The New York Times — Announced on Saturday action movie actor Steven Seagal has been chosen by Russian officials to be a “special representative to improve relations between the U.S. and Russia. The announcement was made via The Embassy of Russia’s Facebook page. Seagal was granted Russian citizenship in November of 2016.

Deadline — A few weeks ago as was reported @ The News Blender The outside of the Brady Bunch Home went on the market. The asking Price was $1.8 million plus. Friday former boy band member Lance Bass announced via twitter that he had been the winning offer

But it wasn’t meant be to for the former *NSYNC member, his offer went, Bye, Bye, Bye, when at the last minute a unnamed studio came in and countered all offers. According to the linked Deadline article, the speculation is CBS, the original network that aired the Brady Bunch, have an idea to bring the iconic sitcom back in the era of reboot success, others are saying it was Netflix, that seems to have endless supplies of money. Regardless of what studio purchased the home out from under Bass’s nose, it’s left the singer dismayed


Political News: Election 

Washington Examiner — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has announced his intent to seek reelection bid for 2020. The 76 year old senator made the announcement before the start of “Fancy farm picnic,” the event that marks the start of the fall campaign season. Asked why the early announcement, McConnell said, “I don’t like starting late.” 


Politico — Tuesday Ohio will hold a special election, the candidate for the Republicans Troy Balderson squares off against democrat Danny O’Connor. On Friday before President Trump visited Ohio to publicly endorse Balderson at a rally on Saturday, Balderson told volunteers gathered, “You all know, it’s a tight race. And everybody wants to know, why is it tight? Why is it tight?” Because this race is all about turnout.” The district in question has been “reliably red” for three decades. Last week A Monmouth University poll found O’Connor with a percentage point lead, “44 to 43.”
