#StopTheBias is a new campaign that wants to “Take a stand against Social Media Censorship!” The account also explains, “The President is Watching.”

Google responded to the President’s tweet stating in part via The Hill, “We have historically not promoted the first address to Congress by a new President, which is technically not a State of the Union address. As a result, we didn’t include a promotion on google.com for this address in either 2009 or 2017. Google also told The Hill, they did promote President Trump’s 2018 State of the Union address.

The Today show from NBC news, had a segment this morning about President Trump’s tweet including Googles response.

Opinion: It shouldn’t matter if they did not did not. Google, like other search engine providers is a private business, they are allowed under our Constitution to promote whomever they like without fear of government involvement.

On Wednesday @ 5:23 p.m. President Trump tweeted what he called a “statement from the White House,” in what is called a Twitter thread. Which means each tweet is connected and sent at the same time.

At this time this statement is not available via the White House website.

The Statement reads as follows and is written in the 3rd person.

STATEMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE

President Donald J. Trump feels strongly that North Korea is under tremendous pressure from China because of our major trade disputes with the Chinese Government. At the same time, we also know that China is providing North Korea with considerable aid, including money, fuel, fertilizer and various other commodities. This is not helpful! Nonetheless, the President believes that his relationship with Kim Jong Un is a very good and warm one, and there is no reason at this time to be spending large amounts of money on joint U.S.-South Korea war games. Besides, the President can instantly start the joint exercises again with South Korea, and Japan, if he so chooses. If he does, they will be far bigger than ever before. As for the U.S.–China trade disputes, and other differences, they will be resolved in time by President Trump and China’s great President Xi Jinping. Their relationship and bond remain very strong.

July 26th CNN published an article in which they stated, “citing sources with knowledge” that the one-time personal lawyer, self-proclaimed fixer, Michael Cohen, had knowledge he was willing to share with special counsel Robert Mueller, that pertained to the Russian investigation. Cohen alleged that President Trump knew in advance of the Trump Tower meeting which was an attempt to receive “dirt,” on Hillary Clinton. The meeting included his son, Donald Trump Jr., his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, who was recently found guilty of tax evasion, and others with ties to the campaign.

Cohen’s lawyer Lanny Davis, now claims, that he made a mistake telling CNN, “I should have done a much better job of speaking with more suspicion than certainty, and I regret my mistake.”

CNN stands by the original story and issued a reply to President Trump via Twitter

One of the journalists involved in the reporting for the story was Carl Bernstein. Bernstein was one of the journalist involved in uncovering the Watergate scandal that eventually led to President Nixon, resigning. He responded via tweet stating that he also stands by his reporting of the original story.

“When Lester Holt got caught fudging my tape on Russia, they were hurt badly!”

There is no report that Lester Holt or NBC News got caught “fudging” the taped aired interview from May 2017. They posted at the time the full 13 minute interview between Lester Holt and President Trump, it is currently still available on YouTube.

The “fudged,” or what it appears the President is referring to as “fudged,” happens in the first minute and some change. It opens with President Trump speaking:

Trump: Look he’s a showboat, he’s a grand-stander, the FBI has been in turmoil. You know that, I know that, everybody knows that. You take a look at the FBI a year ago it was in virtual turmoil. Less than a year ago it hasn’t recovered from that.

Holt: Monday you met with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Did you ask for a recommendation?

Trump: What I did is I was going to fire Comey, my decision it was not…

Holt: You had made the decision before they came…

Trump: I was going to fire Comey. I — there’s no good time to do it by the way…

Holt: Because in your letter you said “I accepted,” their recommendations…but you had already made the decision…

Trump: I was going to fire regardless of recommendations. He made a recommendation and he’s highly respected, very good guy, very smart guy and the Democrats like him and the Republicans like him he made a recommendation, but regardless of recommendation I was going to fire Comey, knowing there was no good time do it and in fact when I decided to just do it. I said to myself, I said, you know this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. It’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won and the reason they should have won it is the Electoral College is almost impossible for a Republican to win very hard because you start off at such a disadvantage.

The above exchange happens in the first one minute and thirty-seven seconds of the posted video above.

For What it’s worth: President Trump’s statement about “starting out at a disadvantage,” regarding the Electoral College, refers to pollsters, pundits, and political junkies alike, speculating at the start of an election cycle, what candidate might win what state in a general election. No delegates are awarded for real until after the November vote, it’s purely speculation based on polling and past election results.

Just to note just in case, it is possible that President Trump is referring to the Access Hollywood tape, that aired in Oct 2016, but that’s not likely, as Lester Holt had zero to do with that tape.

Wednesday President Trump confirmed early reports that White House counsel Don McGahn would be leaving the White House this fall as The News Blender reported on Wednesday.

The New York Times on Wednesday published an article that states, McGahn was, “surprised,” by the news suggesting that McGahn was informed of his exit, via Twitter, “according to people close to both men.” According to the article McGahn’s faced criticism and two of his critics, “have been Mr. Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Ms. Trump complained bitterly to her father about The Times report this month, which detailed how some in the White House were unaware of the extent of Mr. McGahn’s cooperation with Mr. Mueller, according to a person briefed on the discussion.”
