Wednesday

President Trump on Wednesday tweeted @ 1:31 p.m., 3:19 p.m., and 4:42 p.m. three videos. All three featured a brief thank to world leaders prior to their bilateral meetings at the UN General Assembly.

The first clip featured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The clip is 56 seconds long.

Trump: Well, thank you very much.  It’s great to be with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, and his representatives.

Obviously, we have much to discuss.  The Prime Minister was just thanking me again for what we did in Jerusalem, with respect to the embassy.  That’s been something that, I guess, was controversial, but it’s turned out to be very positive in many ways.  And a lot of progress is being made in many other areas.

We’re talking trade.  We’re talking military.  We’re talking defense.  And we are very much in favor of what Israel is doing as far as their defense is concerned.  They’re aggressive, and they have no choice but to be aggressive.  It’s a very difficult part of the world.  So I just want to let Benjamin, let all of the people know — let Bibi know — that we are with you.  We are with Israel 100 percent.

The second clip featured Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe. The Clip is 51 seconds long.

Trump: Thank you very much. It’s great to be with Prime Minister Shinzō Abe of Japan. We had a wonderful dinner the other night in New York at Trump Tower. We spent a lot of time talking about a lot of different subjects, including North Korea, Asia, trade — lots of different things.

We’re doing much more business, much more trade with Japan right now, and things are working out very well. I want to congratulate Prime Minister Abe for a smashing election win just last week. That was a tremendous win. We actually celebrated at the Trump Tower. (Laughter.) His win, his birthday — a lot of good things are happening for him. And we have a lot of good things happening between our countries.

So, Prime Minister Abe, thank you very much.

The third clip featured U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May. The clip is 42 seconds long.

Trump: Thank you very much.  It’s my great honor to be with Prime Minister Theresa May.  She’s working very hard, like all of us, and doing a very, very good job.

We spent a lot of time together in my last trip to the UK.  And I think that’s when we could say we got to know each other.  And it was like meeting after meeting after meeting.  And I said, “This is really good.”  And every meeting became better and better.

I will say that we’re talking about a lot of different things today: trade, military, security, protection, all sorts of things.  We have a myriad of things to talk about.  I just want to say it’s great to be with you and great to have you as a friend.  Thank you very much, Theresa.
