The CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has apologized for eating a chicken sandwich.
On Saturday, he was attempting to give free advertising to the Square app (which he co-founded), which provides discounts for purchases. His choice of venue, however, caused outrage:

This caused immediate outrage from Twitter, as Chik-Fil-A has a history of not signing on, as a corporate entity, to a progressive agenda. In fact, the CEO has spoken publicly against gay marriage.
But Jack Dorsey is an avowed progressive, as demonstrated on his pinned tweet. Note: unlike Chik-Fil-A, he demands his company share his progressive policy stances.
We’re committing Twitter to help increase the collective health, openness, and civility of public conversation, and to hold ourselves publicly accountable towards progress.

The consumption of food during Pride month was too much for many on Twitter to accept. The outrage grew, until after hundreds of retweets and thousands of angry comments, he relented.
From SF Gate:
Another person to comment was former CNN Anchor Soledad O’Brien who wrote, “This is an interesting company to boost during Pride month, Jack.”
Dorsey apologized directly to O’Brien on Sunday, writing, “You’re right, Completely forgot about their background.”
The Democrat party is demanding complete solidarity, down to choices of meals. At a time when their greatest political weapon is the demand on the Republican side of the aisle to march in lock step with an increasingly non-conservative Trump, they seem focused on reminding vacillating voters that their side is also actively against personal freedom and for reactionary condemnation.
