I spoke with Governor David Ige of Hawaii today to express our full support for the people of Hawaii as the State is impacted by #HurricaneLane. The Federal Government is fully committed to helping the people of Hawaii. pic.twitter.com/P35yAAovIk

Hurricane Lane has been downgraded to a tropical storm, but as CNN notes, “thrashing winds and relentless rain will remain a threat into the weekend.”
Congratulations to new Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. There are no greater friends than the United States and Australia!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2018
Scott Morrison becomes the sixth Australian Prime Minister in ten years, according to Reuters Morrison’s win to replace Malcolm Turnbull followed a week of political chaos. According to the article Morrison who was a treasurer under Turnbull took over the “Liberal Party,” which is the “senior partner in the conservative Liberal-National coalition.” A new election “must” be called by May 2019.
Great to see the Senate working on solutions to end the secrecy around ridiculously high drug prices, something I called for in my drug pricing Blueprint. Will now work with the House to help American patients! #AmericanPatientsFirst
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2018
Opinion — As I can find no real information that the “senate” is working on a solution that has to do with anything about lowering “ridiculously high drug prices,” my solution is less government not more.
Great #StateDinner2018 in Ohio tonight! Together, we are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! https://t.co/ALU1PHEsvh

For highlights from the speech President Trump gave on Friday at the Ohio Republican state dinner we turn to twitter user Daniel Dale, a Washington correspondent who works for the Toronto Star who live tweets during each President Trump speech.
Trump: "We have in New York a governor, Governor Cuomo, sues everybody. You go into that state, you get sued…if you go into New York, you get sued. And people are afraid to go to New York. They don't want to do it." I have no idea what he is talking about

Trump threatens auto tariffs on Canada and Mexico if NAFTA negotiations go bad, then says, "I don't want to be threatening at all. I'm not a threatening person."
— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) August 24, 2018
Trump on the current situation of African-Americans: "Now we're doing great, and Kanye West liked me."

President Trump during his speech in Ohio, thanked congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) video via Kyle Griffin
Trump just thanked "the great Jim Jordan" at the Ohio Republican Party's annual dinner, adding, "Don't ever wrestle him."

Jordan is accused by multiple Ohio State wrestlers that he coached of having ignored sexual abuse that they were experiencing. pic.twitter.com/2pRRgrGnuR
President Trump: The great Jim Jordan, how good is Jim? Where’s Jim? Where is Jim? I love — come here Jim. Don’t ever wrestle him even if you’re bigger than him, don’t wrestle him. You know people don’t know this about Jim, he was one of the best wrestlers ever in college wrestling and when you see the way he fights — every time I watch him, I say to my wife, look at that guy that is tough. He lost one match in three years of college, what happened in the fourth year by the way?
He then thanks Jim Jordan.
Happy birthday Vince, you are truly one of the greats! https://t.co/b8zV5MfojY

Michaels Cohen’s attorney clarified the record, saying his client does not know if President Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting (out of which came nothing!). The answer is that I did NOT know about the meeting. Just another phony story by the Fake News Media!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2018
On Thursday Axios reported that Michael Cohen, last year, told Congress, he didn’t know if President Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting in advance. Axios also reported that Lanny Davis, Michael Cohen’s attorney tells Axios, that “nothing has changed,” regarding Cohen’s sworn testimony last year.
Jeff Sessions said he wouldn’t allow politics to influence him only because he doesn’t understand what is happening underneath his command position. Highly conflicted Bob Mueller and his gang of 17 Angry Dems are having a field day as real corruption goes untouched. No Collusion!

Jeff Sessions is an honest man. He did not say anything wrong. He could have stated his response more accurately, but it was clearly not….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 3, 2017
According to Trump Twitter Archive President Trump has tweeted using Attorney General Jeff Sessions name 16 times. The first negative tweet about AG Sessions is dated July 25th 2017
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!

.@LindseyGrahamSC “Every President deserves an Attorney General they have confidence in. I believe every President has a right to their Cabinet, these are not lifetime appointments. You serve at the pleasure of the President.”

Senator Lindsey Graham July 2017: “Holy hell to pay,” when speaking about replacing AG Sessions.
Senator Lindsey Graham August 2018: After the election I think there will be some serious discussions about a new Attorney General.

Senator Ben Sasse from the Senate floor: I find it really difficult to envision any circumstance where I would vote to confirm a successor to Jeff Sessions if he is fired because he is executing his job rather than choosing to act like a partisan hack.

Big story out that the FBI ignored tens of thousands of Crooked Hillary Emails, many of which are REALLY BAD. Also gave false election info. I feel sure that we will soon be getting to the bottom of all of this corruption. At some point I may have to get involved!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2018
“The FBI only looked at 3000 of 675,000 Crooked Hillary Clinton Emails.” They purposely didn’t look at the disasters. This news is just out. @FoxNews
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2018
At Fox News’ website I found no reference to this statement. Based on later tweets it now appears President Trump was simply offering Fox News a tip.
“The FBI looked at less than 1%” of Crooked’s Emails!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 25, 2018
According to the Washington Examiner President Trump might be referencing an article that was posted @ Real Clear Investigations that states, “In fact, a technical glitch prevented FBI technicians from accurately comparing the new emails with the old emails. Only 3,077 of the 694,000 emails were directly reviewed for classified or incriminating information. Three FBI officials completed that work in a single 12-hour spurt the day before Comey again cleared Clinton of criminal charges.”
Our relationship with Mexico is getting closer by the hour. Some really good people within both the new and old government, and all working closely together….A big Trade Agreement with Mexico could be happening soon!
