Wednesday Morning the newly minted Republican candidate for the Florida governorship appeared on Fox News, when asked about the democrat candidate, Andrew Gillum, who would be the first African-American governor of Florida, DeSantis said he feels Gillum is much to liberal for Florida, he continued by saying, “he is an articulate spokesman for those far left views. He is charismatic and I watched those debates. None of that was my cup of tea, but I mean he performed better than the other people. So we’ve got to work hard to make sure we continue Florida in a good direction, build off the success we’ve had with Governor Scott, the last thing we need to do, is to monkey this up by trying to embrace a socialist agenda,” he concludes by saying that would not be “good for Florida.”

Florida Democratic Chairwoman Terrie Rizzo responded via Twitter

DeSantis spokesperson Stephen Lawson told NBC News political reporter, Ali Vitali, that the expression, “monkey this up,” is something candidate DeSantis uses often when something is messed up or not done correctly.

The campaign issued a statement via Twitter

Fox News via The Hill had this to say in response to DeSantis’ comments, “A little while ago, we had Ron DeSantis, the Republican nominee for governor in Florida on for an interview to discuss the Florida election,” America’s Newsroom host, Sandra Smith said before reading the campaign statement, she added, “We do not condone this language and wanted to make our viewers aware that he has since clarified his statement.”

On Monday The Daily Caller published an article entitled, “Sources: China Hacked Hillary Clinton’s Private Email Server,” writer Richard Pollock opens the article by stating, “A Chinese-owned company operating in the Washington, D.C., area hacked Hillary Clinton’s private server throughout her term as secretary of state and obtained nearly all her emails, two sources briefed on the matter told The Daily Caller News Foundation.”

A former intelligence officer who The Daily Caller spoke to about the emails on the condition of anonymity “as he was not authorized to publicly address the Chinese’s role with Clinton’s server,” declined to name the Chinese-owned company and is quoted as saying, “We do know the name of the company. There are indications there are other ‘cutouts’ that were involved. I would be in a lot of trouble if I gave you the name.”

On Monday The Hill published an article that focused on the Harvard CAPS/Harris poll, that the Hill states was released to them “exclusively.”

The online survey consisted of  “surveys of 1,330 registered voters conducted Aug. 22-23.” According to the article the breakdown of “partisan voters is 37 percent Democrat, 32 percent Republican, 29 percent independent and 2 percent other.”

The survey found that out of the 1,330 people that, “59 percent of registered voters felt Brennan should have lost his security clearance, while 64 percent said Comey and others at the FBI who were fired or demoted over their actions should lose their clearance.”

The Hill explains that the online survey “does not report a probability confidence interval,” meaning there is no margin of error indicated.
