The World Series begins on Tuesday night from a rainy Fenway Park in Boston as the Red Sox take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The match-up between the L.A. Dodgers and the Boston Red Sox’s marks the first time in “more than a century,” since the “two franchises faced off in the Fall Classic,” ESPN reports.
The game is scheduled to start @ 8:09 p.m. eastern according to CBS Sports, the chance of rain by game time is 20 percent with a temp of 49 degrees.
WCVB (ABC) channel 5 reported Tuesday that former Boston Red Sox, Hall of Famer Carl “Yaz,” Yastrzemski, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. According to WCVB, “he’s also a good luck charm, because the Sox have won each of the World Series Game 1s where he threw out the first pitch.”
