Have a Smartphone?

If you answered yes to one or both of those questions, you have probably heard of two games.

First up, Angry Birds, first launched by Rovio in 2009 for the Apple smartphones, according to history of Angry Birds @ Free Angry Birds.org, the game was invented by man from Finland called Jaakko Iisalo, with further design by Markus Tupperainen and Peter Urbancis.

The concept of the game is simple enough the user flings Angry Birds at pigs that have stolen the birds eggs.

Since 2009 it has evolved beyond just a simple way to kill time. There are plushy’s, a cartoon, and even a movie.

The second, Candy Crush Saga, a match three game, that was launched by Swedish game developer King in 2012. Wired.co.uk explains that when Candy Crush first launched the development team thought it would last about six months, but within just a few months, the game became “the most downloaded mobile game on the App store.”

It like Angry Birds spawned squeals, most recently King released, Candy Crush Friends Saga.

Unlike Angry Birds it has not as of yet become a movie, it has however, become a game show, hosted by actor Mario Lopez.

I have Angry Birds and Angry Birds Rio, plus Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda, Candy Crush Jelly, and Candy Crush Friends Saga, though in my defense, I’m not currently playing them all…

Question of the night: What silly gaming app(s) are you addicted to?
