President Trump met with most likely future Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Minority Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in order to discuss border security aka Wall Funding and how to avoid a government shutdown later this month.

On Monday in response to the alarming way in which President Trump repeats “false or misleading claims,” the Washington Post unveiled a new Pinocchio in their system of fact-checking ratings, as they explain, this system goes from 1-4, with 1 being the least misleading and 4 being the most. The new Pinocchio is called “the Bottomless Pinocchio.”
The measure for the newest Pinocchio according to the Post article will be applied to claims that have “three or four Pinocchios from The Fact Checker, and they must have been repeated at least 20 times.”
The article notes that President Trump has repeated “his false assertion on an imaginary wall 86 times in the seven months before the midterm,” according to fact checkers.
In 2006 the 109th Congress passed the Secure Fence Act according to clerk.house.gov.
The Ayes, 219 Republicans and 64 Democrats, the Noes, 6 Republicans, 131 Democrats, 1 and independent, bringing the total of passage to 283 for and 138 against, 5 Democrats and 5 Republicans, did not vote.
In the senate according to senate.gov the bill passed 80 to 19, with only one not voting. 18 Democrats voted no along with one independent.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that “according to a person familiar with the matter,” Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, told U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and the U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, that China intends to lower the tariffs on U.S. autos to 15%, down from the current 40%.

For what it’s worth if the government is shut down, border patrol, ICE, the military do not get paid. Special Counsel Robert Mueller still gets paid, as he budget was set until 2019.
