The Washington Post is reporting that Randolph “Tex” Alles, will leave his job as Secret Service Director in May.
Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement that President Trump will “select James M. Murray, a career member of the USSS, to take over as director.”
CNN’s Jake Tapper reported the departure via Twitter Monday afternoon.
The announced departure comes just a day after Department of Homeland Security Director Kirstjen Nielsen was resigned/fired.
The Secret Service made news recently when as Reuters explains a Chinese woman managed to bluff her way into President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Florida resort last month.
Yujing Zhang was arrested and according to prosecutors “she was carrying four cell phones, a laptop computer, an external hard drive and a thumb drive containing what investigators described as “malicious malware.”
On Thursday President Trump said he was “not concerned at all,” regarding security at Mar-a-Lago.
