This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

Russia didn’t forget American Muslims in December 2015. Some were directed towards the Muslims in a supportive manner. Ad p(1)0000619 encouraged them to “protect your religion”:
Ad p(1)0003730 worked towards “unit [sic] all Muslim people living in the USA”:
Because the Russians liked to play all sides of the issues, they placed an ad with a Texas secession page that threw jabs not just as Muslims, but California and France as well. P(1)0002753:
