Trump Tweets Day After Mueller Testimony is Announced

It’s Wednesday.

As the News Blender reported late Tuesday it was announced that Special Counsel Robert Mueller would testify before both the House Judiciary Committee and the House Intelligence Committee, in back to back sessions on July 17th.

Shortly after the announcement that Mueller would publicly testify regarding his findings in the Russian Election Interference Investigation that is detailed in the Mueller Report, the President responded via Twitter.

Wednesday the President has tweeted 4 7 times, and re-tweeted 19 times. But he isn’t scared or anything….no.

Also happening Wednesday part one of the two night first Democratic Presidential Primary Debates, more on that later.

I don’t really have a lot to unpack in these tweets, as this is standard campaign speak. We’ve read it and seen it all before in 2016 and again in 2018.

President Trump’s Interview (it’s more like Trump shouting at the sky, but that’s just my take).

Trump in part: They (the FBI) spied on my campaign it’s that simple.

Shorter President Trump, the clip is two minutes long, tariffs are good, he might do more substantial tariffs, if he can’t make a deal with China.

Tariffs = tax on consumer.

Trump in part: Some in Congress really like me.

In the clip, Rupar is not wrong she never gets a questioned asked.

“I come from Europe…” is really said in the clip that is 1:30 seconds long.

This clip is almost campaign standard speak, Germany doesn’t pay NATO, the EU is worse than China.

“EU nations were set up to take advantage of the U.S.,” I’m pretty sure he is speaking of the European Union, and not that the U.S., is older than the European Nations, probably.

President Trump again attacks his Federal Reserve Bank Chairman Jerome Powell, she presses him on whether or not he intends to demote the Chairman, he in part says more than once, “I have the right too,” regarding demoting the Chairman.

Apparently according to President Trump, Vietnam is bad, because he received a lot of calls from West Virginia, which “makes” him “happy,” and he “loves the coal miners.”

He then changes course, talking about how the Coal Industry would have been gone in six months if Hillary would have won.

The President of the United States says “perhaps we will,” sue private companies “Google and Facebook.”

Okay, so, I listened to the clip several times, and every time I’m left with OMFG, and it’s not about what President Trump says, not entirely, it’s Bartiromo, who after listening to the President lament how hard Twitter makes in on himself, saying “what they did to me on Twitter is incredible.”

She asks the President who is basically lying about Twitter, making it harder on him to get his message out, which given I have enough material to do the Trump Tweets thread 7 days a week, and only do 5, is astounding in and of itself, however, she says, “so, what are you going to do about it, these companies have an enormous amount of power, if they can even stop the President of the free world, in terms of getting his message out.”

I will say again, this is incredible. I can’t even right now.

Basically as the clip continues the President is very upset, he isn’t picking up the followers he once was.

He again tells a sir story, in which a random person tells the President, “sir, I can’t join you on Twitter.”

Alright, so, in this clip he accuses Mueller of destroying evidence regrading former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI/DOJ lawyer Lisa Page.

What the President is referring to is text messages that the FBI was unable to recover from their iPhones they had been assigned when they worked briefly for Mueller, as standard practice the FBI, wipes iPhones, when an agent or lawyer is removed from whatever investigation they’d been working on when the iPhone was assigned. They do this, in order to re-use the same phone for many federal agents.

As the News Blender reported in December of 2018, a report was issued by the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General. That detailed the process of recovering the texts, and the explanation of the the failure to recover the iPhone messages.

FYI, Mueller did not illegally delete those text messages.

I have no comment at the moment on this clip.

That ends the interview.

Rupar, a Vox reporter captures my feelings completely.

As a reminder, the President is headed to Japan for the G20 Summit and he possibly might live tweet during the two-day Democrat Primary Debates.

While I was away the President tweeted 6 times, only to delete 3 of those tweets, having used the wrong Twitter user name to once again criticize a private citizen.

NBC News reports that while speaking with Eight by Eight magazine that co-captain of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer team, Megan Rapinoe, said when asked if they won the Women’s World Cup if she’d go to the White House.

She said, “I’m not going to the fucking White House,” in response, she added, “they wouldn’t be invited.”

Not that this matters much given the rest of the content of the article today, but in my opinion, the only one disrespecting our country is President Trump, I repeat that, he’s President, that means he isn’t suppose to feud with private citizens, it means he isn’t suppose to demand that we stand for the National Anthem.

Personally finding it disrespectful is one thing, but as President, you are bound, by the Constitution, which allows Megan to say what she said, to kneel while the anthem is played, and there isn’t a thing the government can or should do to stop her or anyone from doing just that.

Freedom to oppose our government is what makes America great.

This post will be updated within reason.

This is an Open Thread.
