Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–8/31/19

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

The ads for March of 2016 reiterated that the main goal was to sew discord and distrust. The image text for p(1)0001834 was a subtle reminder about not trusting the media:

P(1)0000569 reminds us that we cannot trust the police:

P(1)0003860 aimed to tell African Americans they cannot trust their country:

P(1)0001620 sought to sew the seeds of distrust in our fellow countrymen:
