As the News Blender reported on Monday, U.S./China trade teams are struggling to come to agreement on the next round of trade talks that were scheduled for early September in D.C..

CNBC News is reporting that according to the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), U.S. manufacturing contracted in August, the first decline since 2016.

Timothy Fiore, Chair of ISM Manufacturing Business Survey Committee said in a statement that respondents to the survey expressed a slight concern about the U.S./China trade tensions.

Respondents expressed slightly more concern about U.S.-China trade turbulence, but trade remains the most significant issue, indicated by the strong contraction in new export orders. Respondents continued to note supply chain adjustments as a result of moving manufacturing from China. Overall, sentiment this month declined and reached its lowest level in 2019

CNBC News noted that the DOW dropped 300 points citing both trade war concerns along with weaker manufacturing.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded 333 points lower, or 1.3%. The S&P 500 lost 0.7% along with the Nasdaq Composite.

The Federal Reserve is scheduled to meet September 17th and 18th. As the News Blender reported in July, the Federal Reserve lowered the benchmark rate, Chairman Jerome Powell said in a press conference the lowering of the rate was a “mid-cycle adjustment.”


The Mueller Report showed there was no conspiracy, it also showed that there were at least ten instances of obstruct like behavior by President Trump, noting that they did not reach a decision whether or not the President would be charged with obstruction of justice.

The IG (Inspector General) Report did not show that the “whole Witch Hunt,” against President Trump and his administration “was a giant illegal SCAM.”

The IG report focused on former FBI Director James Comey’s handling of seven memos he composed after meeting with the President one-on-one.

The IG found that while Comey violated FBI policy, Comey did not violate the law regarding his handling of the material.


President Trump postponed a scheduled trip to Poland to remain in the U.S. as Hurricane Dorian prepared to make landfall.

As Snip Bytes reported, the President sent Vice President Mike Pence to Poland instead.

As the News Blender reported on Tuesday, “There are five confirmed deaths, all on the northeastern Abaco islands,” the total deaths are expected to increase as the water recedes.

As the News Blender reported over the weekend a shooting took place in Odessa, Texas, leaving seven people dead.
