It’s Wednesday.

For Wednesday the President wrote two tweets, deleted that thread in order to issue the same thread.

I was unable to screen cap the deleted tweets as my Twitter tab refreshed.

Trump Twitter Archive records all of President Trump’s tweets, including those that he’s deleted in sentence form.

Sep 4, 2019 08:44:01 AM….Trump is doing to China is not lost on the rest of the world. Europe has had among the most protectionist policies forever. They’re sitting there and saying, gee, are we next? Maybe you are! We’ve got to change the rules. The U.S. can’t defend the world and pay for it…….. [Twitter for iPhone]

Sep 4, 2019 08:44:01 AM“The Chinese are very adept at not accepting anything. You’ve got to be very tough, and that’s what Trump is doing. The replacement thread.

Opinion time!

As I have provided several links as we at the News Blender have written several stories both news and opinion pieces on the trade war. Today I decided to go opinion. Editorial if you will.

The U.S. has been subject to Tariff Terrorism for 50 years.

Countries put tariffs in place to make buying local more appealing. Less competitive. To protect their own countries markets.

Isn’t that exactly why President Trump placed a steel tariff? To protect our steel industry from foreign steel?

Does Sam Zell believe that’s “tariff terrorism?”

The U.S. can’t defend the world and pay for it.

The U.S. pays for our own military defense in other countries.

In trade we aren’t paying for other countries. We are trading money for a product much like you do when you shop at any store, online or in person.

We can’t have a system where we run our entire economy for the benefit of other countries.

The benefit of trade is for both countries, the importer, the consumer, trade equals jobs.

We’ve got to change the rules.

Which rules? The Free Market ones?

Before he sent the three tweet thread that replaced the two tweet thread, the President tweeted a quote.

I have googled the unnamed quote and came up empty. It’s not mentioned in the above clip, it’s not a heading in the crawl along the bottom of the clip.

This post will be updated.
