Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–11/16/19

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

The Russians continued to tell African Americans to not trust the media. P(1)0001549 reminds people to not trust the media’s stereotype about black dads:

While on one hand, the ads complain about mainstream media giving black fathers a bad name, p(1)0001551 complains that white media refuses to talk about the high rates of incarceration for African American parents:

Black Matters points out in p(1)0002031 that the language used by mainstream media changes when talking about black addiction versus white addiction:

P(1)0001529 points out that the White Media is silent about a black owned business:
