It’s Monday.
Personal note:
I want to take a few minutes before we dive into the crazy that President Trump’s Twitter feed to say a heartfelt thank you to all the men and women who have served our country.
Celebrating Veterans Day by honoring some ballplayers who served. Ted Williams served as a Naval Aviator in the Marines during both WWII and the Korean War. Here’s my painting of him crossing home plate as a rookie in late May of 1939. pic.twitter.com/6QSSgxHoTh

Marines Jonathon Blank and John Nelson share an incredible bond after serving together in Afghanistan. After Blank lost his legs from an explosive, Nelson carries him on his back as they explore together — even conquering Mount Whitney.@tvkatesnow shares their story. pic.twitter.com/LHJ3gCDdpl

On #VeteransDay, a reminder that @washingtonpost published a podcast of which we’re quite proud, featuring modern veterans telling the true story of a family of brothers fighting their way through World War II.

Will be meeting with representatives of the Vaping industry, together with medical professionals and individual state representatives, to come up with an acceptable solution to the Vaping and E-cigarette dilemma. Children’s health & safety, together with jobs, will be a focus!

The Washington Post reported that the announcement has caught “federal regulators as well as pro-vaping groups by surprise.”
The White House declined to comment, pointing the Post to the President’s tweet. The FDA declined to comment.
The New York Post reported that on Thursday the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that they have found 2,051 confirmed and probable U.S. lung injury cases and 39 deaths associated with the use of vaping products.
So with one Rally by me at the end of the campaign, I lift the poll numbers of Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin by 19 points, he just misses, every other Republican in the Commonwealth wins big, and the Fake News blames me for a bad night! OK! By the way, Mississippi won everything!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 11, 2019
Real Clear Politics has 4 polls all but one show Republican Governor Matt Bevin leading over his Democratic challenger Andy Beshear. The one poll that shows Beshear ahead by plus 8 was taken between December 12th and the 15th and polled 625 registered voters.
NPR reported on Sunday that last Wednesday while speaking outside the Governor’s mansion, Bevin, who trails in the Kentucky election by an estimated 5,000 votes, pointed toward election tally “irregularities.”
NPR points out that Bevin refused to take questions from the media, but did say, “we know there have been thousands of absentee ballots that were illegally counted.”
He did not offer proof of this claim, and no Kentucky official has corroborated the statement.

The lawyer for the Whistleblower takes away all credibility from this big Impeachment Scam! It should be ended and the Whistleblower, his lawyer and Corrupt politician Schiff should be investigared for fraud!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 11, 2019
Shifty Adam Schiff will only release doctored transcripts. We haven’t even seen the documents and are restricted from (get this) having a lawyer. Republicans should put out their own transcripts! Schiff must testify as to why he MADE UP a statement from me, and read it to all!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 11, 2019
Investigared =’s Investigated.
Released Testimony links provided by Just Security‘s Public Document Clearing House. *The have several publicly released documents related to the Impeachment Inquiry*
Depositions:
- Former Ambassador Kurt Volker.
- Former Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch (scheduled to provide public testimony on Friday).
- Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent (scheduled to provide public testimony on Wednesday).
- Ambassador Michael McKinley.
- Ambassador Gordon Sondland.
- Ambassador William Taylor (scheduled to provide public testimony on Wednesday.
- Fiona Hill.
- Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman.
The witnesses themselves verified the accuracy of the transcripts – and committee Republicans have not disputed their accuracy. Scores of documents have not been turned over to the committee because the WH and State Department have blocked their release https://t.co/5Lg8vfouOs
