This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

May 2016, they capitalized on our anti-Obama sentiments. Ad p(1)0002396 mocked his supporters:
P(1)0003088 brings attention to an arson committed because the man was angry about police shootings, and states that “having a black president changes almost nothing”:
P(1)0003249 goes as far as to accuse Obama of working with “Arabian Sheikhs” to allow refugees to invade America, and only Trump as president would be able to stand up to them:
