Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–12/15/19

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

The ads sought to remind “patriots” who the “best” politicians are (and who they aren’t). P(1)0002384 invoked both Ronald Reagan, and some questionable grammar:

P(1)0002394 encouraged us to not let “Democraps” take away our constitutional rights, and that’s why we need to support a “Conservative president”. Guess who they considered “conservative”:

P(1)0002398 went after Clinton’s policy history in the Middle East:
