Trump Tweets “You Have it Now,” for Monday’s Open Thread

After a weekend spent whining about Impeachment, tweeting support for Iranian Protesters in *Persian, and supporting his favorite news network Fox News, the President for Monday has tweeted 7 times, and retweeted 11 times, so far.

*Twitter is banned in Iran*

This is President Trump’s second time on Twitter calling former Mayor of New York, current Democratic candidate for President, Mike Bloomberg “Mini.” Bloomberg was the Mayor of New York from 2002 to 2013.

The President is likely responding to this Bloomberg TV Commercial.

Or maybe this ad.

Or this one.

There is always a tweet to contradict the current opinion of the President.

From 2012.

In 2016 then-candidate Trump labeled Bloomberg as “Little” Michael Bloomberg.

Bloomberg responded to the President’s tweets.

Bernie Sander’s =’s Bernie Sanders.
Pocahonuts =’s Pocahontas.

Real Clear Politics has Warren’s polling average for the upcoming Iowa Caucus, using three polls taken between December 2019 to early January 2020 at 17.0. The first contest for the Democratic candidates for President is on February 3rd, in Iowa.

Real Clear Politics.

Politico reported over the weekend that according to talking points Sanders campaign is used, obtained by them, the Sanders’ campaign has “begun stealthily attacking Warren as a candidate of the upper crust who could not expand the Democratic base in a general election.”

The message from the talking points instructs, “Sanders volunteers to tell voters leaning toward the Massachusetts senator that the “people who support her are highly-educated, more affluent people who are going to show up and vote Democratic no matter what” and that “she’s bringing no new bases into the Democratic Party.””

A person close with the Sanders campaign told Politico that they were told never to go negative, that Sanders would inform them if it was O.K., to go negative.

We were told never to go negative or contrast with other candidates. Bernie would let us know when it was O.K.. So if that’s happening, he’s aware.

“eminent” =’s imminent.

He has deleted the “eminent” tweet replacing it with “imminent.”

Following the U.S. led drone strike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani the Trump administration explained that Soleimani planned to strike American interests. The attack was “imminent.” The President said this imminent attack was a plan to “blow-up” four U.S. Embassies.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News that he didn’t know when or where the attacks would come only that they were “imminent.”

On Sunday as reported by Washington Post reporter Aaron Blake, Defense Secretary Mark Esper told CBS’s Face the Nation that the attacks against our Embassies was not based on intelligence reports, but it was something the President Trump and others believed to be the case.

But, yeah, it totally “fake news,” for the media to be reporting the mixed stories coming out of our government.

NBC News is reporting that on Sunday “Crowds of people outside Beheshti University refused to trample over giant U.S. and Israeli flags that had been painted on the ground, according to video filmed at the scene that has been verified by NBC News.”

NBC News explains that this is not, “the first time that Iranians have made a point about refusing to disrespect the U.S. and Israeli flags. In 2016, a prominent professor, Sadegh Zibakalam, went to great lengths to avoid this — shimmying along an adjacent railing rather than walking on the ground on which they had been painted.”

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) announced on Twitter that he was suspending his Democratic Presidential bid on Monday.

While I normally do not cover the retweets I thought I should note this retweet.

The President of the United State’s is five years old. No offense intended to five year old’s as they will most likely grow-up. I know the President hasn’t, but I still have hope for the five year old’s out there.

@D0wn_Under‘s bio explains that he identifies as King and his pronouns are His Majesty.
