This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

If you want to follow along, the ads can all be downloaded here. All of today’s ads can be found in the 2016-q2/2016-06 folder.

Despite it being the month of the Pulse nightclub shooting, the LGBT United group only had three posts in June 2016. The first came before the Pulse killing. P(1)0002546:

P(1)0002542 tried to push a memorial service for Pulse victims. I was unable to find a record of that actually happening:

P(1)0002460 helped spread the word about a GoFundMe for one of the victims. While there is no sign he knew it was the focus of a Russian ad, at least he was able to reach his funding goal.

THIS IS AN OPEN THREAD. Take care, and have a great Sunday.
