It’s Friday aka Day *7 of National Social Distancing and Self-Isolating day.

For National Social Distancing and Self-Isolating Day, President Impeached has tweeted 1 time, but wait, there’s more, he re-tweeted 48 times starting right after midnight D.C. time. No worries, I will not be covering the retweets.

On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the Senate Republican’s coronavirus relief bill. The bill calls for $1 trillion in spending.

The bill called Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act would offer; via NPR confirmed in linked bill.

Cash Payments.

  • Individuals with an adjusted gross income of less than $75,000 $1200.00
  • $150,000 for joint filers, would receive the full payment ($2400.00). People earning over that amount would see their payments reduced by $5 for each $100 in income over that amount.
  • The benefit completely phases out for individuals earning over $99,000 and married couples making more than $198,000.

Small-business loans.

A business with fewer than 500 employees could apply for “fee-free loans of up to $10 million that could help cover payroll, employee salaries, mortgages, rent and some other debt obligations. Businesses that retain their employees and payroll levels between March 1, 2020, and June 30, 2020, would have any of that money used for payments on preexisting debt and payroll forgiven.”

Industry loans.

It includes up to $50 billion for airlines, $8 billion for cargo carries, and $150 billion for other unnamed business for a total of $208 billion in loan guarantees.

Also included in the bill is student loan defer payments on federal student loans and it allows students “whose universities have canceled classes to keep Pell Grants.” The bill still has to be negotiated with Democratic leaders which according to NPR, McConnell said would start on Friday.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced via Twitter *my eyes roll every time I write that* that the filing deadline to file taxes has been postponed for 90 days, the new filing date is July 15th. He also encouraged taxpayers that might be seeing a refund to file now to “get your money.”

On to other news.

As the News Blender reported on Friday, four Senators, 3 Republicans and 1 Democrat are facing public outrage over accusations of insider trading following private briefings regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

As the headlines implies, included in today’s “Trump’s Tweets” thread, is President Impeached mini-rally aka the coronavirus task force daily press update. I suspect President Impeached to be asked about the insider trading allegations as well as Gavin Newsom the Democratic Governor of California’s “Stay at Home,” Executive Order announced on Thursday evening.

While he has asked CA residents to stay home, workers, such as plumbers, construction workers, my husband, are exempt and currently still working. Businesses such as banks, grocery stores, gas stations are currently still open and operational.

He has also said, to continue to walk dogs. So in essence we are not being forced to remain inside our homes. He’s simply officially saying, we need to limit our trips, continue washing our hands, if we are sick stay home. And keep social distancing.

*While many states have started social distancing and self-isolating, the 15 day to stop the spread nationally started on March 13th, 2020, when President Impeached declared a national emergency.*
