It’s Thursday.
@ 9:49 a.m. D.C. time, President Crazy had not tweeted. It’s been 10 hours since his last tweet was posted. He will eventually tweet, but so far for Thursday, he has none.
His last tweet for Wednesday was to thank @NAPOpolice for their endorsement of his Presidential reelection campaign.
Two hours before his last tweet was issued, President Shake-up announced that he was replacing his reelection campaign manager Brad Parscale.
I am pleased to announce that Bill Stepien has been promoted to the role of Trump Campaign Manager. Brad Parscale, who has been with me for a very long time and has led our tremendous digital and data strategies, will remain in that role, while being a Senior Advisor to the…

As noted in the Trump Tweets Open Thread for Wednesday, Moderna the biotechnology company working in partnership with the National Institutes of Health, has developed a Covid-19 vaccine that has shown promise during the Phase 1 study.
CNN reported on Tuesday that the early results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and showed, “that the vaccine worked to trigger an immune response with mild side effects — fatigue, chills, headache, muscle pain, pain at the injection site — becoming the first US vaccine candidate to publish results in a peer-reviewed medical journal.”
In a press release Moderna said they expect to begin Phase 3 on July 27th, 2020. They also noted the company remains; on track to be able to deliver approximately 500 million doses per year, and possibly up to 1 billion doses per year, beginning in 2021 from the Company’s internal U.S. manufacturing site and strategic collaboration with Lonza.
Speaking of Covid-19 vaccines, on Thursday the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) issued an advisory warning that Russian hackers are targeting organisations involved in coronavirus vaccine development.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has published an advisory today, detailing activity of the threat group known as APT29, which has exploited organisations globally.
NCSC.gov.uk. 07/16/2020.
The NCSC assesses that APT29, also named “the Dukes” or “Cozy Bear” almost certainly operate as part of Russian intelligence services. This assessment is also supported by partners at the Canadian Communication Security Establishment (CSE), the US Department for Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Security Agency (NSA).
The advisory goes on to say that the NCSC had previously warned that APT groups had been targeting the UK, US and Canadian vaccine research and development groups with cyber attacks.
The NCSC has previously warned that APT groups have been targeting organisations involved in both national and international COVID-19 responses.
NCSC.gov.uk. 07/16/2020.
Known targets of APT29 include UK, US and Canadian vaccine research and development organisations. The group uses a variety of tools and techniques, including spear-phishing and custom malware known as “WellMess” and “WellMail”.
CNN reported that Cozy Bear is one of “two hacking groups linked to Russian intelligence that is believed to have accessed the Democratic National Committee’s internal systems in the lead-up to the 2016 US election, but Thursday’s announcement is the first time this group has been named in connection to cyberattacks related to the coronavirus pandemic.”
According to the full assessment issued by NSCS, Canada’s Communication Security Establishment (CSE), the United States National Security Agency (NSA) agree with the attribution and the details provided in the report. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (DHS CISA) endorses the technical detail and mitigation advice provided in the advisory.
As the News Blender covered Thursday morning, President Chaotic Mess replaced his campaign manager with Bill Stepien. Maggie Haberman with the New York Times was the first to report the campaign shake-up.
Chaotic Mess first reported his demoting of Parscale via Facebook as Twitter was down after several blue check’s Twitter accounts had been hacked.
Rumors had it that President Tantrum has been furious with Parscale starting with lousy poll numbers followed by an abysmal campaign rally in Tulsa, OK., the campaign had denied those rumors just Friday of last week.
ABC News Senior Editorial Producer John Santucci said via tweet that sources told ABC News that President Coward went to Jared Kushner to explain to Parscale he was being demoted.
It was reported that this morning Parscale held a sometimes emotional staff meeting at campaign headquarters in order to hand things over to Stepien.
According to the Wall Street Journal a Trump-campaign donor Doug Deason hopes that Stepien can…wait for it… “rein in Trump’s tweets.”
For What It’s Worth.
This is the ad.
For Fun.
It has as of 11:19 a.m. D.C. time, been 12 hours since his last tweet.
President Obnoxious plans to be Obnoxious at 4 p.m. D.C., time, when he holds another campaign rally disguised as Presidential business.
As if President Obnoxious wasn’t enough to suffer through for Thursday it appears that Press Secretary Kayleigh “the Lying Liar that Lies” McEnany will be holding a mini rally of her own.
