Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–8/23/2020

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

Even in October of 2016 they were still creating new Facebook groups. P(1)0005344 introduced Nefertiti’s Community, promising a place to “study your blackness”:

There was also p(1)0005352 which welcomed “kings and queens”:

Another new group, Pan-African Roots MOVE, also promised a place for “kings and queens” in p(1)0001053:
