It’s Friday aka the Day After the 4 Day Democratic National Convention.

For the Day After the 4 Day Democratic National Convention, the still Impeached President has tweeted 2 times and retweeted 1 time so far.

Both tweets for Friday are campaign video ads.

The video is 30 seconds long and focuses on former Vice President Joe Biden’s time in D.C., calling his 47 years in office a failure. This ad mirrors that of a tweet he issued last night during Biden’s DNC nomination acceptance speech.

This video is also 30 seconds long and focuses on how, while Biden has tried for years to freeze spending on Social Security and Medicare, President Promises Everything but Delivers Nothing has worked to lower drug prices and he’s protected social security and medicare.

Full Biden Acceptance Speech.

CNN has provided a full video of the speech along with a transcription of the speech.

Normally, it’s here where I would fill space with more tweets from Thursday, but today, I’m not doing it, instead I’m going to highlight one clip from President Law and Order for Thee Not for Me’s interview he had with his super fan Sean Hannity last night.

Hannity says “my question to you is are you going to have poll watchers,” on Election Day who have the “ability to monitor, to avoid fraud and cross check whether or not these are registered voters, whether or not there’s been identification to know if it’s a real vote from a real American?”

President Putin’s Bitch respond by saying: We’re going to have everything. We’re going to have sheriffs and law enforcement and we’re going to have, hopefully, U.S. attorneys, and we’re going to have everybody, and attorney generals, but it’s very hard.

After ‘but it’s very hard,’ he rambles about how some states like Nevada are sending them out without requiring a signature check.

On June 24th, 2020, the Las Vegas Sun posted an AP article that reported about 6,700 ballots were not counted from Nevada’s primary election, according to the Republican Nevada Secretary of State, Barbara Cegavske, the reason these ballots did not count was because officials could not match signatures on the ballots.

While poll watchers is not illegal both parties do it, CNN explains that he as President has no legal authority to “deploy local law enforcement officials to monitor elections.”

Rick Hasen an election law expert at UC Irvine told CNN, that the campaign could hire off-duty police to work at the polls. This move would likely face legal challenges as it would echo a case dating back to 1982 that “arose from a Democratic National Committee lawsuit that accused the RNC of trying to suppress votes in New Jersey by, among other things, posting armed, off-duty police officers at the polls in Black and Latino neighborhoods. The decree expired in 2018, and this election marks the first presidential contest since 1980 that the GOP presidential nominee and the RNC will work together on poll-watching.”

Now here’s the thing, I get it, I get that President Must Seek Attention was attempting to Seek Attention to distract from the DNC convention and from Biden, however, these comments must not simply be brushed aside as Trump just being Trump, he’s spent months now, since his polling numbers suck, attempting to cast all kinds of doubt about the upcoming election.

While, he probably is just talking out his ass, something he does often, statements like these by a sitting President should never be acceptable. Ever.

I don’t have his schedule for today’s post, but he’s apparently specking live as he retweeted a link to his live remarks.

This post might be updated.

This is an Open Thread.

Happy Friday Everyone! Please have a wonderful weekend!
