Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–9/13/2020

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

Yesterday I posted about two ads that had nothing to do with African American interests. There were also posts from a group, Watch the Police, that weren’t expressly about Black interest topics. However police misconduct ads have focused on the racial divide. Here’s their introductory post, p(1)0005626:

P(1)0005636 took the time to criticize President Obama for “finish his career without doing this job”:

P(1)0006540 discusses a man beaten by Minneapolis police at a train station. Without a name it’s difficult to find who this may have been:
