Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–9/20/2020

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

The election-themed ads didn’t end on November 9. P(1)0001143 was brilliant for being applicable no matter who won. Unlike many other ads, this one was planning ahead:

P(1)0000867 was also appropriate for whoever won, and it also made a knock against the whole election system:

Yet another not targeting a single candidate, but instead commenting that Black Americans don’t have a home with either party:
