Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–10/10/2020

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

Kids were the subject of a few ads during November 2016. P(1)0000306 instructs Black parents to tell their children that they’re beautiful (in case they didn’t already):

P(1)0000318 mentions keeping heritage alive, with Rosa Parks hashtagged. Without the picture, though, I’m not entirely sure of the context:

Again, the picture is blacked out. I do take p(1)0000294 at it’s word that the child is stunning:
