Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–10/17/2020

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

Some of the strangest Williams and Kalvin ads came during November 2016. To say p(1)0001539 grossly oversimplified the American school system:

P(1)0001367 shows that the Russian ad writers had no idea of the concept of “cultural appropriation”:

It’s no surprise that p(1)0001543 got no clicks as it tried to make the statement that Black America has no interest in politics:
