Trump Tweets “VOTE” for Monday’s Open Thread

It’s Monday.

We are on Day 4 of President Quarantined–Quarantine, sort of.

On Sunday Day 3 of his quarantine, he broke quarantine so he could wave to his supporters that are learning nothing for President Covid-19’s diagnosis.

He teased his Covid Parade via Twitter shortly before he loaded his contagious ass into a black SUV to complete his drive-by.

A snip of the drive-by…

My thoughts: More proof, he has absolutely no business being our President. He broke quarantine in order to wave to his cult members, while other American’s can’t visit loved ones in hospitals. While American’s isolate themselves after exposure going no where. In the tweeted teaser of his parade he said he “gets” the virus.

Wrong.

If he got it, his ass would have stayed inside, versus running around shredding the virus, and signaling to his cult members, the virus is no big deal…

Chief of Staff to President Unfit for Office, Mark Meadows, defended the drive-by this morning, saying that the criticism is unfounded, because “how do we think he got here? I mean we came here in Marine One. The secret service agent that is with him was with him has been with him.”

Some of the replies on the tweet are saying Meadows was implying it was the secret service agents fault he got sick, which is understandable given the way Meadows explains it, with the ho-hum, it’s all fine and dandy we Kim Jung-un’d a sitting U.S. President. However, my take having listened several times, Meadows was more likely attempting to explain the secret service agents assigned to President Virus Sharer have already been exposed to the virus so it’s no biggie he put them at further risk.

October 10th, 2014.

October 24th, 2014.

According to the CDC:

Overall, eleven people were treated for Ebola in the United States during the 2014-2016 epidemic. On September 30, 2014, CDC confirmed the first travel-associated case of EVD diagnosed in the United States in a man who traveled from West Africa to Dallas, Texas. The patient (the index case) died on October 8, 2014. Two healthcare workers who cared for him in Dallas tested positive for EVD. Both recovered.

On October 23, 2014, a medical aid worker who had volunteered in Guinea was hospitalized in New York City with suspected EVD. The diagnosis was confirmed by the CDC the next day. The patient recovered.

Seven other people were cared for in the United States after they were exposed to the virus and became ill while in West Africa, the majority of whom were medical workers. They were transported by chartered aircraft from West Africa to hospitals in the United States. Six of these patients recovered, one died.

Moving onward to Monday’s tweets.

President Doesn’t Understand the Meaning of the Word “quarantine” has tweeted 21 times and retweeted 0 times so far for Monday.

For his first tweet he quotes his Fox & Friends by writing in all-caps “NEXT YEAR WILL BE THE BEST EVER. VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!!”

Know what else is getting ready to break records? The number of Americans, dead because of the coraonvirus, the numbers of people out of the work force as they deal with complications that can occur by having the coronavirus, and the number of small businesses that will close permanently due to the coronavirus pandemic.

For his next shouty tweet President Shouty writes “VOTE DEMOCRAT!!!” if you want massive tax increases.

U.S. Debt Clock.org.

He moves on to explain that he is; responsible for a Virginia state gun law bill being stopped, that Virginian’s should “Vote” for him as our “favorite President” who is the only thing between us and our “Second Amendment,” and that Virginia is “IN PLAY.”

Real Clear Politics.

President Buzzword buzzwords his way through the Republican platform in 16 all-cap tweets that end with the all-caps word “VOTE!”.

On January 13th, 2020, the Washington Post reported that according to internal planning figures obtained by them, that “President Trump is preparing to divert an additional $7.2 billion in Pentagon funding for border wall construction this year, five times what Congress authorized him to spend on the project in the 2020 budget.”

Trump took $2.5 billion from military counterdrug programs for border barrier construction in 2019, but this year his administration is planning to take significantly more — $3.5 billion. Trump administration officials also are planning to take $3.7 billion in military construction funding, slightly more than the $3.6 billion diverted in 2019.

Several dozen Pentagon construction projects were delayed or suspended as a result of last year’s reprogramming of $3.6 billion, including road repairs, a waste treatment plant and school construction projects on military bases. It’s unclear if those projects will be delayed again, or if a different set of repairs and improvements could be postponed.

In June of 2020, the New York Times reported according to officials briefed on the matter, that, “American intelligence officials have concluded that a Russian military intelligence unit secretly offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants for killing coalition forces in Afghanistan — including targeting American troops — amid the peace talks to end the long-running war there.

Islamist militants, or armed criminal elements closely associated with them, are believed to have collected some bounty money, the officials said. Twenty Americans were killed in combat in Afghanistan in 2019, but it was not clear which killings were under suspicion.

The intelligence finding was briefed to President Trump, and the White House’s National Security Council discussed the problem at an interagency meeting in late March, the officials said. Officials developed a menu of potential options — starting with making a diplomatic complaint to Moscow and a demand that it stop, along with an escalating series of sanctions and other possible responses, but the White House has yet to authorize any step, the officials said.

In early September General Frank McKenzie commander of the U.S. Central Command told NBC News, that a detailed review of “all available intelligence has not been able to corroborate the existence of such a program.”

He is quoted as saying; It just has not been proved to a level of certainty that satisfies me. We continue to look for that evidence. I just haven’t seen it yet. But … it’s not a closed issue.

NBC News goes on to say that according to McKenzie eight weeks after the story broke by The Times, differing opinions persist about what conclusions the U.S. can draw from the information.

On September 3rd, The Atlantic reported that during 2018 trip to France that President “VOTE!”, called dead soldiers “losers and suckers,” for being killed following a cancelled visit to Asine-Marne American Cemetery citing bad weather for the reason.

When President Donald Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018, he blamed rain for the last-minute decision, saying that “the helicopter couldn’t fly” and that the Secret Service wouldn’t drive him there. Neither claim was true.

Trump rejected the idea of the visit because he feared his hair would become disheveled in the rain, and because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead, according to four people with firsthand knowledge of the discussion that day. In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.

On September 28th, 2020 the Census Bureau announced:

On September 30th, Axios reported the move by the Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to end the census on October 5th, was in director violating of a preliminary injunction issued by Judge Lucy Koh, she signaled that she might move forward with contempt proceedings against Ross.

Narrator: It wasn’t the biggest tax cut ever.

Not all regulation cuts are good ones…

From the CDC as of October 4th, 2020:
7,359,952 people have the coronavirus.
208,821 people have dead from the coronavirus.

This morning:

Sunday…

It’s also being reported…(h/t Lenny Ghoul).

For his last two tweets so far for Monday he asks us to be an “army for Trump,” by poll watching and promotes a book by former campaign manager failed Senate candidate Cory Lewandowski.

Narrator: He’s not succeeding.
