Election Night 2020 Part 2 – The States

Voting United States. Photo by Tom Arthur.

Due to the large number of contests tonight and the attention given to the Trump/Biden matchup, we’ve split our coverage. The first thread is designed to cover the national election and the results, permutations and expectations associative to it. This thread will cover the other races. Senate, House, Governor… because of the sheer number of them, we will not be including the vote counts or the names of the losers, but we will try to indicate when a seat has flipped or when something particularly unexpected has happened.

The state is in bold. Gubernatorial and Senatorial races will be stated as such underneath the state name; Representative races will be listed by district.

Please feel encouraged to join in with commentary as appropriate. This is everyone’s night, and hopefully it’ll be an active one. Expect this thread to be updated multiple times throughout the night.
