Trump Tweets “Twitter is Out of Control”, for Friday’s Open Thread

It’s Friday aka We Should Officially Know the Winner of the 2020 Presidential Election Day!

For We Should Officially Know the Winner of the 2020 Presidential Election Day!, the Impeached and most likely Fired President has tweeted 4 times and retweeted no times so far.

Typically, I start the tweets the order in which he posted them, however, today we are going backward, then forwards in time.

@ 2:23 a.m. D.C., time.

Shows us he has no idea how things work, again.

To get this out of the way; as I’ve repeatedly said, if Section 230 didn’t exist, Twitter wouldn’t exist, neither would Facebook, neither would most if not all comments sections. If we remove the Section 230 protection offered, Dumbest Man Ever, wouldn’t even be allowed to tweet, as he’d be removed from Twitter as a liability risk.

In short Twitter would have to censor and ban more accounts not less.

Since Tuesday, Twitter has labeled 12 of Dumbest Man’s tweets as being misinformation and violating Twitter rules.

On Thursday into early Friday, Twitter who isn’t effing around with President Misinformation Lying Liar that Lies, flagged 7 of those 12 labeled unsharable tweets.

He then unwisely held a press event, which was really just him lying about the election results and vote counting.

After his ill-advised press event, he took to twitter to post clips of the lie spewing.

The video clip tweet that wasn’t flagged was posted at 9:38 p.m. D.C., time on Thursday.

He says in the clip that he’s won critical states against all interference from the media, and big tech, and big money. 🙄

I’m not going to repeat what the Disinformation/Misinformation Spreader spread in his estimated 17 minute speech.

I’ve watched or read the transcript of every Trump speech since late 2016. I’ve cataloged thousands and thousands of his false claims.
I have never seen him lie more thoroughly and more egregiously than he did on Thursday evening at the White House.

On the verge of what appeared to be a likely defeat by former Vice President Joe Biden, Trump emerged in the press briefing room and took a blowtorch to the presidential tradition of defending the legitimacy of the democratic process.

Aside from some valid criticism of errors by pollsters, some legitimate boasting about his performance with various demographic groups and some legitimate boasting about Republicans’ down-ballot performance, almost everything Trump said was not true.

CNN’s Daniel Dale. 11/05/2020.

Dale Fact-checked the following Lameass Quotes from the Man-baby; I will not cover them all.

Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia
Trump claimed that he “won” the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia, citing his substantial early leads in the vote counts there.
Facts First: This is false. Holding a lead before all of the votes are counted is, obviously, not the same as having won — and Trump has lost Wisconsin and Michigan, according to CNN projections. At the time of his speech, he was also in trouble in Pennsylvania as votes from Democratic-leaning areas were counted, and his margin in Georgia was shrinking fast as the count continued.

Democrats and the count
Trump said, “There are now only a few states yet to be decided in the presidential race. The voting apparatus of those states are run in all cases by Democrats.” He later added that “the election apparatus in Georgia is run by Democrats.”
Facts First: This is false. Georgia’s top elections official, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, is a Republican. So is Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske of Nevada, a state where the race was also close at the time.
There is also no basis to suggest that the Democratic election officials in other states have done anything wrong. And it is local counties that actually count the votes.

Votes and Election Day?
Trump declared that “no illegal votes” should be allowed to be cast after Election Day, suggesting that such illegal voting was happening.
Facts First: Votes are not being cast after Election Day; votes are being counted after Election Day, as always. And some states accept mail ballots received after Election Day if they are postmarked on or before Election Day.

CNN’s Daniel Dale. 11/05/2020.

None of that tweet is true. Observers were allowed in. We are here today because GOP state officials refused to change state law prior to the election to allow mail-in ballots processed early.

His non-flagged tweets for Friday.

2:20 a.m. eastern time.

In this tweet he says that Democrats are trying “through their actions” to gain control of the Senate.

By through their actions he means voters voted, those votes are now being counted.

The New York Times Senate Election Map. 11/06/2020.

In the state of Georgia if a candidate does not reach the 50 percent mark, it triggers a run-off, as the Washington Post explains one such run-off exists between incumbent Senator Kelly Loeffler (R) and her challenger Raphael Warnock (D).

Raphael Warnock, seeking to become the first elected Black Democratic senator from the Deep South, faces Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) in a race that was long expected to go to a runoff because it is a special election to fill the remainder of the term won four years ago by Johnny Isakson (R). Loeffler was appointed to the seat after Isakson resigned for health reasons at the end of last year.

But by Thursday afternoon the state got the double-bonus when Sen. David Perdue (R), running for a second term, fell below the 50 percent threshold that is required by Georgia law to win a Senate race. If his share of the vote remains below that marker, Perdue would face Democrat Jon Ossoff, a documentary filmmaker running his first statewide race.

Washington Post. 11/05/2020.

The run-off between Loeffler and Warnock will be held in January.

And finally his first tweet not posted in the middle of the night for Friday.

10:07 a.m. D.C., time.

We now go back to Daniel Dale’s fact-check of the dumb lying press event from Thursday.

Detroit and Philadelphia
Trump claimed, “Detroit and Philadelphia, known as two of the most corrupt political places anywhere in our country, easily, cannot be responsible for engineering the outcome of a presidential race, a very important presidential race.”
Facts First: There was no basis for Trump’s suggestion that Detroit and Philadelphia had done anything wrong in this election, much less that they were “engineering the outcome.” Their local counties were simply counting votes, like every other local county.

The Impeached Likely Fired President has added 5 more tweets for Friday.

From the New York Times, live-updates: Nick Corasaniti, in Philadelphia 9:15 AM ET “The votes being counted in Pennsylvania do not include any mail ballots arriving after Nov. 3. Those are being kept segregated. This count is for votes in by Election Day. See Pennsylvania results ›”
