Propaganda Watch: Russian Social Media Ads–12/26/2020

This is part of an ongoing series where I review some of the ads purchased by the Russians. In doing so I hope we can get a better understanding of what they were trying to do, and how to recognize it the next time we’re faced with propaganda.

There were quite a few ads centering around African American children. So many, in fact, that I will spread this topic over both today and Sunday. P(1)0000304 talks about a two year old getting a prosthetic leg. Note–I am assuming the child is African American because the ad originated from the Blacktivist group:

P(1)0000392 is more likely about an African American child since it discusses being “unapologetically African” in kindergarten:

P(1)0001095 features a little King who looks to be a future president:
