It’s Thursday.

Today marks day 15 of President Biden’s first 100 day’s in office.

For day 15 President Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris will meet with State Department Officials and the Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken. President Biden will offer a foreign policy speech later this afternoon.

Prior to the State Department visit news…

Thursday morning President Biden offered taped remarks to the annual National Prayer Breakfast.

In his 4 minute and 14 second remarks, President Biden mentioned directly the attack of January 6th, 2021, on our U.S., Capitol.

We just have to open our eyes. We’ve just witnessed images that we’ve never imagined — images that now we’ll never forget a violent assault on the US Capitol — an assault on our democracy, on our Capitol, a violent attack that threatens lives and took lives. We know now we must confront and defeat political extremism, White supremacy and domestic terrorism.

CNN notes that former President’s, Carter, Bush, Clinton, and Obama, all participated in some way at Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast, notably absent was former Impeached Twice Faithless Ass offering anything relating to today’s event.

In the I’m tired of defending the fringe left from the fringe-right news…

In fairness to myself, I’m not exactly tired of it, more like, why the hell do they lie about things, so easily proven as lies news, but that was too long…

Bit of Background, AOC aka Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), said yesterday that she feared for her life on January 6th, 2021, during the Insurrection on the Hill.

Because she’s the new must hate face of the so-called “moderate or Conservative Republicans,” she faced right-wing backlash for her remarks.

Enter fellow Congresswoman “a new voice for GOP,” according to her Twitter bio, Nancy Mace.

Falshback…

From January 6th, 2021, Rep. Nancy Mace…

AOC responded to Mace…

Her first tweet, in which she shares a photo from what she says came from Mace, I googled the words in the first line, “Mace said she barricaded herself inside…”

First link, the state.com

On January 7th, The State reported that Mace told them, she didn’t blame Impeached Twice Insurrection Inciter adding that the protests weren’t protests but rather “anarchy.”

Nestled paragraphs down to conclude the article…

Mace said she barricaded herself inside her D.C. office during the attack. Fearing that Trump supporters she had seen staying at her hotel might target her after she voted to certify the electoral votes, Mace said she decided to sleep in her office that night.

She said her children keep texting her asking if the protesters are gone.

The second link, CNN, the (94), just means they’ve updated their “Live” updates news thread, 94 times after Mace’s comments they reported.

Mace’s reported statements:

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace, who was just sworn in on Sunday, condemned “anarchy” after pro-Trump rioters breached the Capitol yesterday.

“It was a sad day for our nation. I was shocked. I was heartbroken. And I was pissed off and angry by seeing this violent mob. This wasn’t protests — this was anarchy last night,” Mace told CNN’s John Berman.

Mace, a single mom, said that she was so concerned by rhetoric “from the President on down” before the rally on Wednesday that she sent her two kids back home after she was sworn in.

“I thought, ‘how neat would that be to roam the halls of Congress, do your virtual classes,’ and instead, I put them on the first flight home Monday morning, because I was worried. And my fears came true yesterday,” she said.

Mace said the Republican Party needs to “start over,” and some GOP lawmakers should take responsibility for the deadly insurrection.

Trump’s “entire legacy was wiped out yesterday,” she said. “… We cannot condone the violence. … We need to have leadership more than ever right now in our country. We’ve got to rebuild our nation and rebuild our party.”

“What happened yesterday is because millions of people across the country were misled by Republicans and by the administration that members of Congress could overturn and usurp the Electoral College in a single vote to object yesterday. And that’s simply not true,” she added.

Prior to my opinionated below remarks, Mace has responded earning herself a Daniel Dale fact-check…

Now at this point, you may be asking, how come, I wasted time on this, the answer to this, is two-fold:

One, the lying, so brazenly by Mace, put herself in a credibility corner, she didn’t have to put herself in. Her reasons, for doing so, matter little, beyond the fact that if she believes as she said on January 7th, 2021, that “we’ve got to rebuild our nation and rebuild our party,” lying is the wrong step toward that end.

My second point: It took me, about all of 5 minutes this morning to fact-check this small in a bigger bucket of important issue stories. It wasn’t hard. Now in full disclosure, I probably wouldn’t have seen this story this morning, had it not been for this…

The above tweet was retweeted by Law and Crime reporter Adam Klasfeld. I have enabled my Twitter account to notify me, every time Klasfeld tweets or retweets, it’s sort of like approved stalking…sort of.

I also follow NBC Peacock reporter Mehdi Hasan, but as I’m not internet stalking him, his morning tweet was lost in a sea of other tweets.

Now, I could get further in the weeds, and have tried a billion different searches using the one photo that AOC posted, however, as I got a hit, and was able to match the words to the un-contexted image posted by AOC, which is totally different bitch I have about folks, really, is it hard to just link the source in your tweet???

Anyhoo, the first line, is almost always your best chance, of getting a hit, on your first “google” try.
