Today’s Something Good is a Springtime Christmas.
In December, four year-old twins named Luna and Gianella Gonzalez attached their Christmas lists to red balloons, then set them loose on a windy winter day. They hoped the wind would take their lists to Santa at the North Pole. Their mom, Leticia figured the balloons would blow away, get caught in a tree, and that would be that.
But the wind took one of the balloons 600 miles and two states away from Kansas to Grand Cane, Louisiana where it was found by Alvin Bamburg in the woods in January.
He posted about it on Facebook and many shares later, he was in touch with Leticia. Alvin worked with her to fulfill the Christmas wishes he found.

He bought and shipped all the gifts on the list to the girls – all the gifts but one. The puppy the twins wished for couldn’t be mailed but Alvin and his wife bought a puppy and drove 600 miles to unite the two little girls with Max.
The two families now call, text, and email each other and are becoming great friends.
Alvin told Good Morning America, “I hear them say ‘Alvin’ and they smile and that just means everything. The world’s been bad this past year so if you can make just one person smile, trust me, not only will it help them, it will make you feel so much better.”
Going out of your way to make someone smile is definitely something good. Now it’s your turn… Tell me something good!
