Singer, songwriter, storyteller, Nanci Caroline Griffith (July 6, 1953 – August 13, 2021) passed away on Friday at age 68. A genuinely nice, down to earth, good person, she was also humble and soft spoken. Nanci was a quiet giant – not in stature but with a talent that only comes along “once in a very blue moon”. Her musical style encompassed Folk, Country, and Americana. She was loved by many, and was an inspiration for myriad young, aspiring singers and songwriters.

Rest in peace, little angel.

[While the best song is saved for last, the first video was made in the late seventies at someone’s backyard barbeque party in East Texas before either one of them were famous (according to the interesting backstory that accompanies the video on YouTube)].
