Good day, TNB peeps! For this lovely Monday, I will be your captain. So, sit back and chillax as we cruse the skies at 30,000 [I’ll let you fill in you’re own units for 30,000].

I can’t, buckle up! 🤭

Sigh. I don’t like this clock very much.

Makes me think of this song …

For some reason that slacker Daniel Dale isn’t posting POTUS’ public schedule so for now we will go with Tiff’s alternate source Factbase.

According to the schedule, after Biden’s daily briefing, followed by a briefing from the WH COVID-19 Response Team, there will be a public statement on an update of the COVID-19 variant omicron at 11:45 eastern.

First to finish out Sunday, Biden tweeted twice and retweeted a thread from The White House timeline.

From whitehouse.gov briefing room, the White House put out two November 28, 2021 press release statements. Basically, it is just the official releases from the WH tweets above.

Readout of President Biden’s Meeting with COVID-19 Response Team on the Omicron Variant
NOVEMBER 28, 2021

STATEMENTS AND RELEASES

Following up on the regular briefings he had on COVID while traveling, the President met in person today with his Chief Medical Advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and members of his White House COVID Response Team. Dr. Fauci and members of the COVID Response Team updated the President on the latest developments related to the Omicron variant. Dr. Fauci informed the President that while it will take approximately two more weeks to have more definitive information on the transmissibility, severity, and other characteristics of the variant, he continues to believe that existing vaccines are likely to provide a degree of protection against severe cases of COVID. Dr. Fauci also reiterated that boosters for fully vaccinated individuals provide the strongest available protection from COVID. The COVID Response Team’s immediate recommendation to all vaccinated adults is to get a booster shot as soon as possible; all adults are eligible for a booster if they were vaccinated six months ago or more with Pfizer or Moderna, or two months ago or more with Johnson & Johnson. Importantly, those adults and children who are not yet fully vaccinated should get vaccinated immediately. The President will provide an update about the new variant and the U.S. response on Monday.

Statement by President Joe Biden on Hanukkah
NOVEMBER 28, 2021

STATEMENTS AND RELEASES

Over these eight nights, Jews in the United States, Israel, and around the globe will proudly celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights. They will light the menorah, spin the dreidel, eat latkes, and tell of how the Maccabees, guided by an abiding belief in their Creator and an inextinguishable commitment to their faith, prevailed against all odds.

At its core, Hanukkah recounts a story at the heart of the human spirit – one that is inherently Jewish and undeniably American. It commemorates how even the most fragile flame can sustain a tradition and nourish the soul of a people. It teaches us that even a little bit of light, wherever it is found, can dispel the darkness and illuminate a path forward. And it reminds us that whether it is the Holy Temple in Jerusalem or the temple of our democracy, nothing broken or profaned is beyond repair.

Much like Thanksgiving, Hanukkah is a holiday dedicated to the expression of gratitude for the blessings and miracles in our lives – big and small, seen and unseen, from ancient times until the present day.

From our family to yours, and from the People’s House to your own homes, Jill and I wish you and your loved ones a Chanukah Sameach, a Happy Hanukkah!

So far today, Biden has only tweeted once. I suspect that will change with all the press statements they have lined up like airplanes on a runway [see below].

There are several WH statements set for today. I’ll list them in order of first up to last in the day.

I’m not sure Psaki will be having that scheduled presser today considering some of those Biden statements will be running at her regular time. Usually she’s got something set up for a timer by now, but so far not seeing anything.

I am going to stop here for now and get everything formatted for posting a little early for Biden’s omicron update, because I know y’all are just waiting on the edged of your seats for that one. [I really don’t have to add the snarc tag to that, right? 😂]

Time to land this thing. Wait. You forgot, didn’t you. Hang on, here we go….

See you tomorrow. Stay cool.
