Today’s Something Good is a dog who knows her own mind.
In Manitoba, Gem, a five year-old border collie mix, has been effected by the pandemic lock downs, according to CTV. She used to go to Happy Tails Pet Resort & Spa several times a week but now she only goes once a week.
Apparently she missed it because recently, on a Saturday morning, she escaped from her fenced in yard around 6:30 am and treated herself to a spa day.
Cameras in the lobby of the doggie daycare caught the moment an employee saw Gem at the door and let the happy pup in, wagging tail and all. The staff member waited expectantly for Gem’s humans to follow her in through the door.
When the humans never showed up, staff called to let them know where Gem was. Thankful she was safe and uninjured after her solo journey, they let Gem have exactly what she wanted – a day at the spa.
