Last weekend the fam traveled to the Happiest Place on Earth aka the Merriest Place on Earth from November 12th–January 9th, 2022.
First, some old business; when we went on our first trip, Big Thunder Mountain was closed.
Guess what was back???
It’s still amazing, we only rode it once, but next time, it’s a night ride…
Okay, now onto new Merriest business…
Friday, the 12th, of November was not only the start of Christmas season, it was also Disney+ Day.

There were other things to do related to Disney+ Day, but we are rebels and just did whatever we wanted; one of the things I wanted was a picture in the same spot we took our picture the trip before…
Unlike our last trip, this trip, we did not park hop. I know! I was shocked too, but there you are. We just spent two days at Disneyland…
Story time…
Every Christmas save 2020, for obvious reasons, Small World, the most annoying, yet, must ride ride at Disneyland under goes a Christmas holiday make-over. They close the ride for “refurbishment”, just before Halloween and reopen on the first day of their Christmas season.
Well, this year, they’d planned a soft open for November 11th, as they were having their first ever after hours Christmas party called “Merriest Nights.”
The plan failed when something broke flooding the ride turning refurbishment into repair. So, it stayed closed and has a soft open date now of sometime next week, probably Thanksgiving or the day before.
But wait, not all hope was lost, as Small World, was still able to hold it’s lighting ceremony.
There will be more this weekend during coffee talk with Tiff Saturday and maybe spilling into Sunday…
