I’m cheating a tiny bit with this…but it’s Christmas Time!!!!
I do have some wonderful news…
All signs point to Small World Holiday opening on Sunday, if not soft opening Saturday. I know it seems weird I’d be excited for this news given my return trip won’t be until sometime mid-January or February of 2022; but December at Disneyland is special–it’s the tradition that is important to me.

I was finally able to visit the treat shop at Disneyland without a million people inside…
We did not buy a tasty treat…

On our one-day trip to the merry place we did manage to park hop and headed over to DCA…
While at DCA we paid a visit to Radiator Springs…

Some trip notes:
I had fun…
But, I had a minor okay a bit more than minor but not a major anxiety attack getting on Soarin’ Around the World…
It’s a total height thing, like seriously, you feel freakin’ high…
You aren’t that high, but you feel like you are seriously high up in the air…
But, after I buckled in; I unbuckled and said…
I then saw the cast member way away from me and went…
And buckled my candy ass back in the weird seat and enjoyed; mostly a few times I did have to shut my eyes, cause it was “high”…
But I did it anyway and felt better for it…
Another note: Is a two hour plus drive there and back worth the one-day effort?
I think so, I do think my husband is correct and what we need is goals for the day…
Do we want night rides, which is basically two rides maybe three? Oh, four if you count the train…
If yes, you can leave later to stay longer; honestly by 7 p.m., C.A., we were just done.
Now, we made the executive decision to skip the Christmas time fireworks for many reasons, mostly it was so damn crowded that social distancing was a no go…
Ride Count:
Disneyland car from main street to the castle.
Big Thunder–we rode it twice, once at night…
Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.
Alice & Wonderland–not the tea cups…
Cars.
Soarin’.
Disney Monorail.
Disneyland Railroad.
Mark Twain; at night.
One more note: I’m looking really forward to not holiday Disneyland. 🙂
That about does it for the land of Disney…
