It’s Sunday…
Ever have one of those mornings; where you need an object, touched that object just two days ago, but yet somehow the object is now missing?
That’s been my morning…
Background…
About 2 or 3 weeks ago, my laptop speakers developed a crackle. Sounds like a cross between wind blowing and white noise like we got when TV stations use to sign-off at midnight…
I run Linux (Ubuntu 18.04) as my operating system; all signs point to a software issue versus a sound card one…
So, in between my Google attempts to find the right “sudo” code to fix this mysterious software problem, I was using a headset…
I then purchased a pair of generic air-pods that were great, cause no cord, and I didn’t attempt to yank the computer off the desk when I moved inches in my roller chair…
Well, sometime this past week, I’ve managed to make “Bluetooth” headsets not work…
My Bluetooth mouse and keyboard still work, so yeah, I have no fucking clue what I did to erase the code that makes the Bluetooth external speaker or my “air-pods” toss up an error…
But there you go, neither Bluetooth speakers work, and I was shoved back to the headset forced not to move inches else I yanked the computer off the desk…
Sometime around Thursday maybe Tuesday, I really can’t say for sure, the headset I was using died, in part, the right side stopped working, zero sound…
I was then forced to use my husbands “airplane” headset. It’s great, okay, it’s heavy as shit and blocks all sounds. It’s great for flying, it’s not so great while sitting in my garage while I try and listen to Rope Drop and other things; so I can write like a saner person than I feel…
That’s the long way around to get us back to Sunday morning first cup of coffee in hand when…
I found an old set of iPhone headphones…
But, I can’t find the iPhone adapter that makes the headset work like it should; that’s the object I had just days ago, seriously…
Anyhoo…
This month has been shit…
