Coffee Talk Sunday…

It’s Sunday…

Saturday’s Coffee Talk featured a statement via social media shit-poster for Twice Impeached 45, Liz Harrington.

I had said we would toss back to that today, but well; real life is busy today and I want to talk about a different shit-post or more than one…

As Blender’s are aware last Friday the 11th of February, Special Counsel John “not Robert” Durham filed a motion in the on-going case against lawyer Michael Sussmann for “making a false statement to the FBI on Sept. 19, 2016. The charge in the indictment stems from a set of allegations brought by Sussmann to the FBI related to an alleged secret channel of communications between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank.”

The latest filing did what was intended and prompted the usually Fox News hair on-fire and the…

It sounds like they gotta em’ this time…

It appears this is what has led Republicans, mostly random Twitter users and Right wing bloggers, to believe she’s finally gonna go down…

Durham Motion. PDF pg 4. 02/11/2022.

Sussmann’s legal team fired back at Durham on Monday, February 14th, 2022 excusing the Special Counsel of including “prejudicial—and false—allegations that are irrelevant to his Motion and to the charged offense, and are plainly intended to politicize this case, inflame media coverage, and taint the jury pool.”

This accusation and calls by the legal team for the court to strike the new not charged allegations from the court records; prompted Durham, still John not Robert to try and distance himself from the hair on fires in another court filing

First, those paragraphs reflect conduct that is intertwined with, and part of, events that are central to proving the defendant’s alleged criminal conduct. Second, the Government included these paragraphs to apprise the Court of the factual basis for one of the potential conflicts described
in the Government’s Motion, namely, that a member of the defense team was working for the Executive Office of the President of the United States (“EOP”) during relevant events that involved the EOP. If third parties or members of the media have overstated, understated, or otherwise misinterpreted facts contained in the Government’s Motion, that does not in any way undermine the valid reasons for the Government’s inclusion of this information.

Obviously the first motion on the 11th, drove Twice Impeached 45 to shit-post tweet through his “secretary”…

In a stronger period of time in our country, this crime would have been punishable by death. In addition, reparations should be paid to those in our country who have been damaged by this.

You know what else was once a death sentence?

Trying to overthrow the U.S. Government, cause your bitch ass lost an election…

All above leads me to this that was posted last night by everyone’s favorite tile guy, Tony…

“Build a better Right…”

And as Tony says it’s a lovely idea, but how can when do it, with whom is there to rebuild the Republican party at this point in time?

The party has said if the gain control of the House they will move to impeach President Biden, and not because they believe he deserves it, but because the Democratic party did it first to their guy…

“whether it’s justified or not, the Democrats weaponized impeachment”…

He does say he believes President Biden’s mismanagement of the border is grounds, plus other things…

Yesterday, Cruz’s flippant pick for the Supreme Court nominee that President Biden has said would be a qualified Black woman said:

And a reminder that the RNC has basically cast Rep. Liz Cheney out to dry in Wyoming because she is daring to investigate the other Republicans attempts to overthrow our government…

They did it to Adam Kinzinger too, for the same reason, but he’s already said he’s retiring when his term expires…

So again, I ask, who in power today as R can we “rebuild a better Right?”

On January 19th, 2022, President Biden asked: What are Republicans for?  What are they for?  Name me one thing they’re for.

There is also this from Marcy Wheeler aka EmptyWheel on Twitter.

This is an Open Thread.

P.S.,

I’m late cause the grandbaby is here today and boy when say real life is “busy” I fucking mean it…

It’s odd how as our children age, we forget just how much work a toddler is and how our vocabulary is reduced too…
