Good morning, TNBers. It is a new day and I cannot help be wonder, oh god, what fresh new hell is going to roll in on us. Possibly seven more rulings supposed to be handed down from Mt. High.
Unless @POTUS remarks on any of it, I am going to leave all that to comments.
Most of today’s Biden Bits will be used to clean up @POTUS‘ (twitter feed link) Friday, (NOT Groundhog Tuesday, thank you very much! 😂) June 24, 2022 and his weekend. He is presently in Germany at a G7 conference, so, Biden is 6 (eastern time) hours ahead of us and has already had his Monday morning and we need to catch up.
Oof, and boy, is it a lot considering … but all anyone can do is just keep moving forward as our rock continues to spin and wobble its way around our sun.
So, tally-ho and all that jazz, and off to the races we go.
On Friday we left off with @POTUS telling us Thursday night:
Tonight, bipartisan members of Congress passed legislation to address the scourge of gun violence across America.
Our kids and our nation will be safer because of this legislation. The House of Representatives should promptly vote and send it to my desk.
@POTUS
By Friday evening while that was being overshadowed from the day’s event, Tiff sent me a heads up and Beth told us in Notes it was done and heading to his desk to be signed Saturday morning.
A quick flash forward to early Saturday morning:
Bills Signed: S. 2089 and S. 2938
JUNE 25, 2022
LEGISLATION
From the White House Briefing Room, this reads, in part addressing S.2938 being signed into law:
S. 2938, the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act,” which enhances certain restrictions and penalties on firearms purchases; promotes evidence-based best practices for school safety; authorizes grants to expand access to mental health services; and appropriates emergency funding for mental health resources and school safety measures;
Thank you to Senators Murphy, Cornyn, Sinema, Tillis, as well as Senate and House leadership, and the many other Congressional leaders on these issues who helped bring this bill to passage.

@POTUS finished Friday tweeting 11 times and retweeting one (1) time:
Next 4 are together in a thread:
[President Biden Retweeted]:
Over the course of the weekend, June 25-26, 2022, @POTUS tweeted a total of 11 times.
Considering there is a lot here already, I will only tag in The White House Briefing Room link to the main page and you can peruse on your own and or skim the headers to see what has been posted since we left off last Friday. There are almost 2 full pages of new Speeches & Remarks, Presidential Actions, Statements & Releases, and Legislation posts the site has been update with from the last 2-3 days, including, but not limited to, what is being said and done in Germany.
Okay, if I did it correctly and didn’t screw up those last couple Sunday tweets because Germany time, I got everything from the 25th and 26th. What comes next will be our Monday Biden Bits and finishing up with Monday briefing room posts and youtube sheduled/posted remarks/speeches.
For Monday, June 27, 2022, Biden Bits.
