STATEMENTS AND RELEASES

[Feels weird going with my post. I am just going to leave it as was prepared and just move forward.]

Howdy-do, TNBers!

I will be filling in for the boss today and next week. She’ll be back Monday, July 4. Happy vacation, boss! Have fun out there!

Okay, so, it is the night before and I am setting up formatting to prepare for morning. And what do I find but WordPress decided to change things, without my permission mind you! The nerve!

No telling how out of whack my posts are going to be these first couple days as I learn to navigate the “new look”. Ack! New look their happy butts. There was nothing wrong with the old look, all they have succeeded doing is moving things all around and hiding them under new headings and making me do thing in more steps. Wth, WP, you’re pulling Common Core dreck on me?

Oh, look, user, aren’t we all dressed up and pretty today? No, no you are not. You are every grocery store who decides, hey, new look time! We can make shoppers’ time so much more convenient and constructive!

The hell you say. I curse you! Just tell me where you put the damn bread this time! How is it convenient when I have to peck and hunt for the damn bread?!

Okay, enough whining. Meanwhile, y’all will just have to suffer with me. I am just all inclusive that way.

So far, so good. I haven’t thrown my computer out the window. We will count that as a win. We may survive this ordeal after all. I hate change. I really do. Just leave my bread alone and we will all get along just fine. 😂

Let’s get this party started!

Yesterday, @POTUS added 4 more tweets finishing out Thurday, June 23, 2022, announcing the US Senate has passed a bill for addressing gun violence.

[Side note: Whatever happened to all legislation shall start in the House of Representatives? When did that change, and why? or was that never a hard rule?]

Statement by President Biden on the Senate Passage of Bipartisan Gun Legislation
JUNE 23, 2022
STATEMENTS AND RELEASES

Tonight, after 28 years of inaction, bipartisan members of Congress came together to heed the call of families across the country and passed legislation to address the scourge of gun violence in our communities. Families in Uvalde and Buffalo – and too many tragic shootings before – have demanded action.  And tonight, we acted.

This bipartisan legislation will help protect Americans. Kids in schools and communities will be safer because of it. The House of Representatives should promptly vote on this bipartisan bill and send it to my desk.
