President Biden: Today, if you want an electric vehicle with a long range, you can buy one made in America.  (Applause.)  If you want one that charges quickly, buy American.  You want one that’s fast in the quarter mile, buy American.  (Applause.) So — by the way, while we’re here in Detroit building in America, we’re making it easier for folks at home to buy it here in America.  Companies have announced new investments of more than $36 billion in electric vehicles and $48 billion in batteries manufacturing in the U.S.

The YouTube is 7 hours long. President Biden begins his remarks at the 6 hour and 4 minute mark. His full remarks can be found here.

President Biden: (6:07:34) Look, I decided to run for President, as Susan knows, after Charlottesville — literally, not figuratively.  I had no intention of running, I give you my word.  I was teaching and I thought that was the best thing for me to do — as Chris knows, my colleague from Delaware. But Charlottesville changed everything, because I believed our story is to unite as people of one nation and one America.  When those folks came out of those — that field carrying torches — the United States of America — carrying torches, chanting the same antisemitic bile that was chanted in Germany in the early ’30s, accompanied by white supremacists holding Nazi flags.  And I thought to myself, “My God, this is the United States of America” — Senator — “How could it happen?”

President Biden: (6:15:25) We need to say it clearly and forcefully: White supremacy, all forms of hate fueled by violence have no place in America. Failure to call it out is complicity.  My dad would say, “If you’re silent, it’s complicity.”  We can’t remain silent.

President Biden: (6:25:15) My fellow Americans, we remain in the battle for the soul of our nation.  When I look around at all of you here today, I know we’ll win that battle.  I know we’ll win it.  The power is within each of us to transform the story of our time, to rise together against hate, to show who we are.  We are the United States of America.  And there’s nothing — nothing beyond our capacity.

Semi-remark quote to tweet text…

President Biden: (6:05:36) And that’s what so many of you have done for so long in your own way as survivors of hate-fueled violence, family, victims, you know, allies and advocates, mayors and community leaders, members of Congress.  Your presence is a testament to the truth that we must and we can come together regardless of our backgrounds, our beliefs

The YouTube is 15 minutes and 43 seconds long. President Biden begins his remarks at the 3 minute and 50 second mark. His full remarks can be found here.

These next two tweets are just campaign tweets…

President Biden has tweeted 3 times so far for Friday.

The above campaign like tweets are in response to this jackassery below:

I’m using this below tweet not for the text in the tweet itself, but because it has video of Graham saying the exact opposite of what he is now proposing.

I would like to note that Senator Mitch McConnell from Kentucky is not on board with Graham’s clearly political stunt trying to sway voters to their side.

Also, this is not a ban on abortion it’s a limitation on the number of weeks a person can obtain an abortion nationally.

Having said the above, I have a couple of things to say:

One; I hate mid-terms, I hate them with a passion of a thousand burning suns.

Two; the Republicans at a federal level are being completely foolish on the abortion issue, they got what they told us they always wanted which was to make abortion once again a state issue. But, instead of being happy about that, they have gone out of their way to make abortion still front and center. I know why that is, because women, like myself, are done pissed off and voting. And we aren’t voting for the Republicans.

This is an Open Thread.

Happy Friday, everyone. See you Monday…
