Wednesday was sort of less hot than Tuesday; today’s another hot one…
But less this…
More like this…
Just have to make it to Saturday where the app says it will be 89 with a 40 percent chance of rain…
Halloween is in 53 days.
For those that care, like my husband does; tonight marks the return of regular season football.
May all your fantasy football hopes and dreams come true.

President Biden’s remarks.
I might be jumping the gun on sharing his statement regarding the updated coronavirus, but here we are…
This week, we begin a new phase in our COVID-19 response. We are launching a new vaccine – our first in almost two years – with a new approach. For most Americans, that means one COVID-19 shot, once a year, each fall.White House.gov. 09/06/2022.
Starting this week, at tens of thousands of convenient pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and community health centers, and other places, Americans age 12 and older can go get this new fall COVID-19 vaccine. The new vaccines provide the strongest protection from the new Omicron strain of the COVID virus, which did not exist when the original vaccine was developed. As the virus continues to change, we will now be able to update our vaccines annually to target the dominant variant. Just like your annual flu shot, you should get it sometime between Labor Day and Halloween. It’s safe, it’s easy to get, and it’s free. Go to Vaccines.gov to find a location near your home or work.
It’s simple, and it’s easy to understand: If you are vaccinated and 12 and older, get the new COVID-19 shot this fall. This once-a-year shot can reduce your risk of getting COVID-19, reduce your chance of spreading it to others, and dramatically reduce your risk of severe COVID-19.
Winter is not that far away. The past two years, we have seen COVID-19 cases and deaths soar. It does not have to be that way this year. If you are 12 and older, go get your new COVID-19 shot this fall.

President Biden: (12:30) You know, you dreamed big and secured lasting wins for the American people, helping lift their burden with the blessing of hope. It was so underestimated — the notion of just having hope. This is a gift to the Obama presidency, to the country, and to history. And it’s a gift I felt personally. And as we used to say in the Senate, Mr. President, excuse a point of personal privilege — you were always there. I remember — I remember how you were with me when my — when our son was passing, and I remember the eulogy you gave in his behalf. You’ll never fully understand just how much it meant to Jill and me and the entire family.
President Biden: (12:13) You embody dignity beyond measure, Michelle. And together, you and Barack made history. You both generated hope for millions of people who were left behind for so long. And it matters. You both did it with such grace and such class.

President Biden: (14:18)
Jill and I have been waiting to host events at the White House for a long time, coming out of the pandemic. And it’s fitting — fitting that we can do that now by unveiling the portraits of two dear friends and two great Americans who are still held very tightly in the hearts of the American people — portraits that are going to hang on the walls of this sacred place, the People’s House, forever; and a reminder of all here and now, for those to come to power, that hope and change matters.
Former President Obama thanked his painter “Robert” for talking him out of wearing a “tan suit.” (2:18)
