TNB Night Owl – Baker’s Dozen

For whatever reason – which I cannot adequately explain – I dislike lengthy article titles: they clutter up the white space at the beginning of the story. This post would have been more accurately and descriptively titled, “Thirteen Hits From Ace, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Ambrosia, & Firefall, For A Mellow Monday Morning”. That’s more than a bit wordy, ergo it was demoted to mere subtitle. I hope you like the pithier substitute.

By pure coincidence, I stumbled upon some sublimely useless trivia within this playlist. In 1979, Atlanta Rhythm Section had a top 20 hit with a cover of “Spooky” (included below), originally a top 5 hit by the Classics IV in 1967. This is kind of a bookend to last week’s Santana playlist! Also in 1979, Santana had a top 40 hit with “Stormy”, originally a top 5 hit by the Classics IV in 1968.

You’re welcome.
