TNB Night Owl – Leo Sayer

English singer-songwriter (who recently became an Australian citizen) Leo Sayer is another one of those artists who was more popular in the UK than the US.

Sayer co-wrote the first two tracks below, but his renditions didn’t register on the US charts. You’ll probably recognize them anyway, as the first one was a big hit in the US for Three Dog Night, while the second was recorded by Roger Daltrey for his debut solo album. Sayer had big hits with both in the UK.

I’d forgotten virtually all of these songs, as I hadn’t heard any of them in many years. Up until now, I didn’t even realize that just one singer, Leo Sayer, was behind all of them.
