Stevie Nicks wrote and performed some of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest songs. However, the singer-songwriter also had a career outside of – in parallel with – her work with Fleetwood Mac.
That career included solo recordings and performances, duets, and singing backup vocals for other artists. The first three tracks in this playlist are duets that have already been featured on other Night Owls dedicated to other acts. They’re included here again because they belong to Stevie Nicks as much as they belong to her duet partners.
Songs that she sang backup vocals on are not included in this list, as there are just too many of them. Magnet and Steel (1978) by Walter Egan, and Gold (1979) by John Stewart, are two well-known examples.
