TNB Night Owl–Friday!

It’s Friday…

I got some Disneyland “news”…

Splash Mountain the popular log flume ride based on part of the racist movie Song of the South from the 40’s has officially closed.

And as a Disneyland fan, can I just say I was extremely pleased I was not able to attend the last day.

Wait times to get one last Zip a Dee Doh Dah ride were between 120 to 230 minutes for most of Tuesday…

Here’s a small look at the last day…

This is the moment they closed the doors “FOREVER”…

And then there will walls…

I put forever in quotes because the mountain stays–the log flume will return sometime in 2024; let me just say that that’s probably a very optimistic opening date…

Anyhoo, the new ride based on the movie The Princess and the Frog called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is said to be a continuation of Tiana’s story not just the movie retold in ride form.

I liked Splash Mountain, but I have to admit, I’m super excited from something shiny, and yeah, less problematic in terms of merch…

I will also say, I’m a tiny bit disappointed that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure features new music (though the new music does sound pretty cool)…

And not…

Or…
